You cannot fill most wash swirls. You level the clear coat down to the depth of the scratch so the scratch disappears. Too aggressive and you are shopping for paint. That is why this is not a mall kiosk job.
The light polish inside a Beyond Excellent Detail is not the same as a dedicated correction. If the paint is heavily washed-out, book correction first — then a coating if you want that finish to last.
