QUESTIONS WE GET ASKED
DETAILING
How is a detail different from a car wash?
A wash removes loose dirt. A detail is hours of interior and exterior work: vacuum and shampoo, plastics and leather, wheels, decon, clay when it is in the package, and protection. A tunnel wash cannot do that, and the brushes will mark paint we later have to correct.
What detail packages do you offer?
Interior from $175. Exterior Detail $200. Basic Detail $225. Excellent Detail $275. Beyond Excellent Detail $425. Those are starting points. Larger or filthy vehicles cost more. Pet hair is +$50. See Detail packages for the current cards.
Do interior details include windows?
No. Windows are +$25 for inside and outside. One set of floor mats is included; extra mats are $5 each.
How long does a detail take?
Interior about 2โ4 hours. Full packages run 5โ7 hours. We would rather finish it right than chase a clock.
Do you detail trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles?
Yes. Cars, trucks, SUVs, minivans, motorcycles, ATVs, RVs, and boats. Call if it is not a normal daily driver so we can slot the time.
PAINT CORRECTION
What is paint correction?
Safely leveling a little clear coat so wash swirls and light scratches disappear. It is not filling scratches. Too much heat or pressure and you are buying paint. That is why we do it in the shop with Rupes machines only.
Do I need correction before a ceramic coating?
If you can already see swirls, yes. A coating locks in whatever is under it. Light prep is part of coating. Dedicated 1-step starts at $200+. Multi-step starts at $450+ and depends on the paint.
Will correction remove rock chips?
No. Chips, peeling clear, and rust are not correction jobs. Those need paint or film.
Why Rupes only?
Rupes built the modern big-throw polisher the rest of the industry copied. Predictable cut, less hologram risk, pads and compounds that are made to work as a system. We use Rupes Uno Advanced on the 1-step and stay in that family for multi-step work. We are not mixing random big-box kits on customer paint.
CERAMIC COATINGS / CERAMIC PRO
What does a ceramic coating actually do?
It bonds to the clear coat and makes a harder, slicker, more chemical-resistant surface. Water and dirt release easier. UV and bird droppings are less likely to etch. It is not wax and it is not PPF.
Will it stop rock chips?
No. Coatings are thin. Film (PPF) is what stops impact. Many I-75 commuters film the front and coat the rest.
Why Ceramic Pro exclusively?
We install Ceramic Pro because it is a professional system with a documented, VIN-logged warranty that transfers when you sell the car. That is a different product than a $30 spray bottle labeled โceramic.โ We chose one line and learned it instead of chasing whatever is trending on social this month.
How much does Ceramic Pro cost here?
Sport $175. Bronze $800. Silver $1,200. Gold $1,700. Interior coating $400. Starting points. Correction extra if the paint needs it.
Does the warranty transfer?
Yes. Logged to the VIN. New owner keeps it when they buy the car.
How do I wash a coated car?
Hand wash or touchless with coating-safe soap. Skip brush tunnels. Do not let bird droppings bake in the sun.
Does Kentucky winter kill a coating?
Salt and freeze-thaw are hard on unprotected paint and on cheap wax. A bonded Ceramic Pro layer is built for that kind of year โ if it was prepped right and you wash it like an adult.

Why do neglected cars cost more?
Time. Pet hair, smoke, years of tunnel-wash marring, and baked-on film are not the same job as a clean daily driver. We quote that before we start.
